Super Eagles winger Yira Collins Sor is closing in on a move to Turkish Super Lig newcomers Amedspor, with the club currently in talks with Belgian side KRC Genk over a transfer.
Negotiations between the two clubs are said to be progressing, though no agreement has been reached at this stage. Sor, 26, has just one year remaining on his contract with Genk and is not expected to be offered a new deal, making a summer departure increasingly likely.
Should the move be completed, the former Flying Eagles star would link up with fellow Nigerian Gift Orban at Amedspor. Orban recently joined the newly promoted Turkish side on a season long loan from Bundesliga club TSG Hoffenheim.
Sor moved to Genk from Czech First Division League side Slavia Prague in January 2023, in a deal worth €6.5 million. However, the winger has struggled to establish himself at the Belgian club, with a series of injury setbacks limiting his impact and preventing him from consistently showing his potential.
