Rangers International will play their preliminary round home matches in the 2026/27 CAF Champions League at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne, Ogun State.
The Flying Antelopes, reigning NPFL champions, will be making their 11th appearance in Africa’s premier interclub competition this season. Ongoing renovation work at their home ground, the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium in Enugu, popularly known as The Cathedral, has forced the nine-time Nigerian champions to seek an alternative venue for their continental fixtures.
Rangers previously used the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo for their preliminary round home matches against U.S. Zilimadjou and Sagrada Esperanca in 2024. That venue, nicknamed the Nest of Champions, is fully CAF-approved, while the Remo Stars Stadium currently holds only provisional approval from the continental governing body.
Rangers general manager Barrister Amobi Ezeaku confirmed the club’s decision, saying the club’s home matches in the competition will tentatively be played at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne, citing the ongoing renovation work in Enugu.
