Raphael Onyedika has agreed personal terms with Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt, with Club Brugge and the German side now negotiating a transfer fee, according to German outlet BILD.
The Nigeria international is expected to sign a five year contract once the transfer is finalised. Eintracht Frankfurt had already shown interest in the defensive midfielder last summer and again during the winter transfer window, and are now prepared to pay between €8 million and €10 million to complete the move.
Club Brugge find themselves in a weaker negotiating position given that Onyedika’s contract is set to expire in the summer of 2027, leaving the Belgian club with limited leverage to hold out for a higher fee.
Onyedika joined Club Brugge from Danish side FC Midtjylland in 2022 and went on to establish himself as a key figure in the Belgian club’s midfield, helping them to domestic success during his time there.
