Staying Focused In Sousse
The Oluyole Warriors are based in Sousse and will travel to Sfax closer to matchday as part of a plan to keep the squad relaxed and free from unnecessary distractions ahead of the game. They carry a 1-0 lead from the first leg played in Abeokuta and will need to protect that advantage to advance to the next round of the competition.
A Dispute Over Training Facilities
The build-up has not been entirely smooth, with Shooting Stars raising concerns after CS Sfaxien reportedly offered them an artificial pitch instead of natural grass for pre-match training. Club Director of Football Tobi Adepoju said the Nigerian side had requested a grass pitch and even offered to pay for its use, adding that better cooperation had been expected given that CS Sfaxien were allowed to train at the actual match venue during the first leg in Abeokuta.
Eyes On Qualification
Despite the friction over arrangements, the squad has continued its preparations undeterred, with the focus firmly on protecting their narrow lead and securing a spot in the next round when the sides meet in Sfax.
