Super Eagles midfielder Raphael Onyedika has penned an emotional farewell message to Club Brugge following his departure from the Belgian Pro League champions.
The Nigeria international completed a permanent move to Bundesliga outfit Eintracht Frankfurt on Sunday, bringing an end to a successful four year spell with the Blauw-Zwart. Onyedika had joined Club Brugge from Danish side FC Midtjylland in 2022 and quickly established himself as one of the club’s key players.

Taking to Instagram, Onyedika thanked everyone he worked with at the club and praised the supporters for standing by him through good times and bad, saying they never let him walk alone. He reflected fondly on the Champions League nights and the trophies won together, wishing the club and its fans well and promising to keep following their progress. “Once a Boeren, always a Boeren,” he wrote, using the club’s popular nickname. A Trophy-Laden Spell In Belgium
The defensive midfielder made 183 appearances across all competitions for Club Brugge, scoring nine goals and providing six assists during his time at the Jan Breydel Stadium. He played a key role in the club’s domestic success, helping Brugge win multiple trophies before embarking on his new chapter in the Bundesliga with Frankfurt.
