Nigeria international Rafiu Durosinmi believes Genk have what it takes to compete for the Belgian Pro League title this season, despite a sluggish start that leaves them ninth in the table with nine points from six matches, having won twice, drawn three times and lost once.
Durosinmi Wants An End To The Draws
Speaking to Walfoot, Durosinmi acknowledged that Genk’s current position is not where the club wants to be, but said, “I am convinced that we will soon return to the top of the rankings.” He added that the team simply needs to perform better and stop settling for draws, insisting the squad’s real ambition is to fight for the title rather than accumulate points slowly.
Praise For His Teammates’ Attitude
The forward also praised the mentality within the squad, pointing to the effort players put in during training and matches. He questioned why the team couldn’t compete with the sides currently chasing the title, arguing that Genk have the same capability if they can find their consistency.
