Nigeria international Femi Azeez has described his move to Brighton & Hove Albion as a dream come true.
Azeez completed his transfer from Championship side Millwall on deadline day, signing a four-year contract with the Seagulls after an impressive season at The Den.

Speaking to Brighton’s official website, Azeez said reaching the Premier League was every young player’s dream and something he had carried with him his whole life, adding that the opportunity felt surreal and that he intends to work hard and succeed at the club.

Azeez credited a conversation with Brighton manager Fabian Hurzeler as a key factor in his decision, saying the level of detail and clarity in what Hurzeler told him left him excited to join, and that the club’s track record of developing players, its ambition and its overall culture aligned closely with his own values.

Azeez enjoyed an outstanding 2025/26 campaign at Millwall, registering 11 goals and eight assists, form that earned him a place in the PFA Championship Team of the Season. He acknowledged the Premier League represents a different level to the Championship, but said his work ethic and ambition give him confidence he can carry his club form into his new environment.
