Kwara United has announced the release of 22 players ahead of the upcoming 2024/25 Nigerian Premier Football League NPFL season. General Manager Bashir Badawiy confirmed the departure of these players and revealed the recruitment of 23 top stars from the NPFL to bolster the squad.
Among the new signings are Abayomi Samuel from 3SC, Jimi Iteji from Plateau United, and several goalkeepers and national team players, including Kazeem Badmus, Adamu Abubakar, and Ifeanyi Ogba from NPFL champions Rangers International.
Badawiy expressed confidence in the team’s prospects, aiming for a top three finish in the new season. Kwara United will also participate in the Valuejet Preseason tournament in Ikenne, Ogun State, starting on July 24, 2024.
