The Confederation of African Football has appointed a team of Ethiopian match officials to oversee Tuesday’s 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier between Guinea-Bissau and Nigeria’s Super Eagles.
Kick-Off Details
The Group L encounter kicks off at 4pm local time in Guinea-Bissau, 5pm Nigerian time, at the Estadio Nacional 24 de Setembro in Bissau.
The Officiating Team
Tewodros Mitiku has been named centre referee, with fellow Ethiopians Fasika Biru Fasika and Tigle Belachew serving as first and second assistant referees respectively, and Manuhe Woldetsadik appointed fourth official. Senegal’s Yaya Balde will act as match commissioner, while former FIFA referee Papa Bakary Gassama of The Gambia has been named referee assessor.
A Crucial Second-Round Clash
The Super Eagles opened their qualifying campaign with a 2-1 win over Madagascar, while Guinea-Bissau began with a 2-0 victory over Tanzania’s Taifa Stars. Guinea-Bissau currently top Group L on goal difference ahead of Nigeria, setting up a significant encounter in Bissau.
