Speaking to FIFA.com after the match, Aduku did not shy away from the disappointing display, saying, “We did not come to the party today; we did not play.” Despite the result, he struck a confident tone about Nigeria’s chances of advancing, pointing to two remaining group games as an opportunity to put things right and insisting the side would still qualify for the knockout stages.
