Akwa United have announced that they will play their home matches for the 2025-26 season of the Nigeria National League (NNL) at the Uyo Township Stadium in Akwa Ibom State.
The club, nicknamed the Promise Keepers, were relegated from the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) last season and previously played their home fixtures at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo.
The announcement was made via the club’s official Facebook page on Monday, stating: “Uyo Township Stadium will serve as our home for the 2025/2026 season!”
Their first home game at the new venue is scheduled against Solution FC, and the new NNL season is set to commence on Saturday, 8 November.
