Lobi Stars head coach Tony Bulus has attributed his team’s narrow 1-0 defeat to Bayelsa United in Yenagoa to a lapse in concentration. The decisive moment came ten minutes into the second half, with Magbise Wisdom scoring the only goal of the match.
Despite creating chances of their own, Lobi Stars failed to capitalise, leaving Bayelsa United managed by Ladan Bosso to defend resolutely and secure all three points.
Bulus, who took over after Mohammed Baba Ganaru’s short tenure following Daniel Amokachi’s departure, admitted that his side’s focus slipped at a crucial moment. “It was as a result of a loss of concentration that we conceded that goal,” he said. “You could see that it was the only attempt Bayelsa United made on our post. We had our chances, but we could not take any.”
