Deborah Abiodun and Gift Monday have finally arrived at the Super Falcons’ training camp in Casablanca, completing head coach Justine Madugu’s full 25 player squad ahead of the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
The pair had originally been expected in camp days earlier, but their trip from the United States was disrupted after their scheduled flight was cancelled, delaying their arrival.
As a result, both players missed Nigeria’s 2-1 international friendly win over Tanzania’s Twiga Stars, which served as the squad’s final warm-up match before the tournament proper. Abiodun featured for the Super Falcons at the last edition of WAFCON, while Monday narrowly missed out on selection for that tournament.
With the squad now complete, the defending champions are scheduled to depart Casablanca for Rabat, where all of their Group C matches will be played. Nigeria open the defence of their continental title against Malawi, before facing Zambia and Egypt in the remaining group fixtures.
