Nigeria’s Super Falcons have opened their training camp in Casablanca, marking the start of their final preparations for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
Head coach Justine Madugu named his 25 player squad for the tournament last week, with all invited players expected to arrive in camp on Monday. The nine time African champions will use the base in Casablanca to fine tune preparations before travelling to Rabat for their Group C fixtures, as Madugu’s side chases a record extending 11th WAFCON title.
WAFCON 2026 carries added significance beyond the continental trophy, doubling as Africa’s qualifying tournament for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Brazil. The four highest placed teams at the tournament will earn automatic qualification for the global showpiece.
