Remo Stars have officially confirmed the appointment of Olumide Ajibolade as their new head coach, ending speculation over the club’s search for a successor to Daniel Ogunmodede.
Ajibolade first joined Remo Stars’ academy set up in 2019 as Under-17 head coach, before taking charge of Beyond Limits Football Academy following its establishment in 2021. Under his leadership, Beyond Limits became one of the most successful football development projects in Nigeria, winning five TCC League titles in six seasons.
His achievements extend well beyond academy football. Ajibolade guided Beyond Limits from the Nationwide League One to the Nigeria National League during the 2022/23 season, before orchestrating a further historic promotion to the NPFL in the 2023/24 campaign, a season that culminated in the club being crowned Nigeria National League champions in Enugu.
Known for his emphasis on player development, Ajibolade has nurtured numerous young footballers who have gone on to build professional careers with clubs across Europe and beyond. He now takes on his biggest challenge yet, tasked with steering Remo Stars back to the NPFL at the first attempt following last season’s relegation.
