Niger Tornadoes technical adviser Kabiru Dogo has pointed to poor finishing as the reason behind his side’s 1-0 defeat to Katsina United in a matchday four NPFL clash at the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium on Saturday.
Garba’s Early Strike Proves Decisive
Abdulrahman Garba scored the only goal of the game in the 21st minute to hand Katsina United all three points, condemning the Ikon Allah Boys to their second defeat of the season.
Dogo Frustrated By Missed Chances
Speaking to the club’s media afterward, Dogo acknowledged that Katsina United took the one clear opportunity that came their way, while his own side created even better chances but failed to convert any of them. He said, “This is what happens in football when you don’t take your chances,” while also praising the overall quality of the contest and calling for his players to sharpen up in front of goal going forward.
Mid-Table After Four Rounds
The result leaves Niger Tornadoes 10th in the NPFL table with four points from four matches, as they look to bounce back in their next fixture.
