Nigerian talent Noah Abolaji Salaudeen continued his remarkable scoring form in Lithuania, striking a hat trick and an assist as O.G. Kaisiadorys came from behind to beat VRSK 6-3 in Matchday 12 of the Lithuania SFL League.
The result takes Salaudeen’s season tally to 42 goal contributions, with the midfielder now registering 31 goals and 11 assists across the league and SFL Cup combined this term.
A Dramatic Comeback Win
Kaisiadorys raced into a 3-0 first half lead, with Lukas Tatarunas and Rafiu Babatunde Kazeem scoring before Salaudeen added his name to the scoresheet. VRSK responded strongly after the break, levelling the match at 3-3, before Salaudeen once again proved the difference, completing his hat-trick before setting up Ignas Spakauskas for the sixth goal to seal a dramatic win.
“We Stayed Together And Believed”
Speaking after the match, Salaudeen said the game became difficult once VRSK levelled it at 3-3, but that the team stayed together and believed they could win. He said he was pleased with his goals and assist, but that the three points mattered most, and that the team needed to keep the momentum going.
Building Toward Something Bigger
Salaudeen’s numbers, 31 goals and 11 assists through just 10 league appearances, work out to an extraordinary 4.2 goal contributions per match. Beyond the statistics, he continues building a track record that he hopes will open the door to bigger opportunities in European football.
