Ndidi gave the hosts the lead just before half time. Palace responded quickly after the break, with Yeremy Pino and Jean-Philippe Mateta scoring in quick succession to put them 2-1 up. Substitute Junior Olaitan then rescued a point with a late equaliser, and Besiktas finished with 10 men after Umit Akdag’s red card.
Ndidi admitted that Besiktas started slowly in the first half, but said they gained momentum and scored, and that the same thing happened after the break. Overall, he called it a good match.
The former Leicester City midfielder said Besiktas are a great club and that they are showing themselves against teams from Europe’s big leagues.
“We’re on the right track, everyone is working hard,” he said, adding that everyone is fighting and everything is going great. Fans following the Europa League can read Bet9ja booking code in simple terms.
Besiktas lost 2-0 at Trabzonspor in the Super Lig on Monday, so Thursday’s performance was a step forward.
Their next Europa League game is a trip to Celtic in Matchday 4.
A point against a Premier League side, with 10 men for the final stretch, is a good result. Ndidi’s leadership will matter as Besiktas look to stay inside the top eight.
