Kelechi Iheanacho says he wants to keep scoring for Bursaspor after extending his run to 10 consecutive league games in Thursday’s 3-0 win at Muğlaspor. As reported by FootballInNigeria.com.ng, the Nigeria forward scored twice and set up a third goal in the TFF 1. Lig clash at the Muğla Atatürk Stadium.
The 30 year old now has 14 goals and three assists in 10 league appearances this season. That means he has been directly involved in 17 of Bursaspor’s 20 league goals, according to Fanatik.
He joined the Green Crocodiles on a free transfer this summer. He told beIN SPORTS, “Hopefully, the goals will keep coming for me,” and said he’s pleased that the team has moved up to second in the league.
How The Goals Came
Iheanacho thought he had scored in the 48th minute with a header in a scramble, but the effort was ruled out for offside. He did put Bursaspor ahead in the 58th minute, finishing a pass from Halil Akbunar.
He doubled the lead in the 79th minute, then turned provider four minutes later. His assist set up Hüseyin Maldar to complete the 3-0 win.

A Streak For The Record Books
The run of 10 straight league games with a goal went past the nine-game streaks credited to Turkish legends Metin Oktay and Saffet Sancaklı, according to reports. It also beat Fernandão’s club record of eight, set in 2014/15.
Is this the best form of his career? The numbers say it’s close, and he’s doing it for a club trying to climb back from the lower divisions.
