Super Eagles forward Yira Sor has returned to full training with Amedspor after around six weeks out injured. As reported by FootballInNigeria.com.ng, the 26 year old could be available when Amedspor host Konyaspor in the Super Lig on Saturday.
Sor was injured in Amedspor’s 2-1 home win over Trabzonspor on August 31, a game in which he scored. It was one goal in three league appearances for the former Genk man before the setback.
He has missed Amedspor’s last four league games. The club hasn’t confirmed whether he will be in the squad on Saturday.
Amedspor In Form
Amedspor are third in the Super Lig with 14 points from seven games, with four wins, two draws and one defeat. They’re unbeaten in their last five league matches, winning three and drawing two.
Their home record has been perfect this season, with wins over Trabzonspor, Başakşehir, Erzurumspor and Beşiktaş at the Diyarbakır Stadium.

Konyaspor Visit Diyarbakır
Konyaspor sit 16th with five points from seven games, with one win, two draws and four defeats. They are third from the bottom, though they’ve avoided defeat in their last three league games.
That should give Amedspor confidence, but coach Besnik Hasi will know a side near the bottom can be dangerous. Sor’s return adds attacking options.

A Nigerian Attack
Sor isn’t Amedspor’s only Nigerian forward. Gift Orban had scored six goals after five league games, according to turkishleague.net, and the pair could play together if both are fit.
Is Sor ready to start? A first game back after six weeks usually means a place on the bench, with minutes built gradually. Hasi’s choice will show how fit the winger really is.

For Sor, even a few minutes would be a big step after six weeks away. For Amedspor, another home win would keep them close to the leaders.
