Femi Azeez

Brighton & Hove Albion head coach Fabian Hurzeler is optimistic that winger Femi Azeez will be available to make his debut when the club travels to face Coventry City on Sunday.

A Delayed Debut

Azeez joined Brighton from Championship side Millwall on transfer deadline day, but a minor injury has kept him out of action since the move. Speaking to the Sussex Express, Hurzeler confirmed the winger is carrying a slight knock and said the club would need to assess him over the weekend, with hopes he will be ready for the Coventry fixture.

High Hopes For The New Signing

Azeez arrives at Brighton on the back of an outstanding Championship campaign, having earned a place in the PFA Championship Team of the Season with Millwall. Hurzeler praised his versatility in front of goal and his sharp decision making in the final third, describing him as a hard worker and expressing satisfaction with how the club’s transfer window had gone overall.

With a number of new arrivals at the club, Hurzeler said the focus now is on integrating the fresh faces quickly and building a strong, cohesive squad.
