Saudi Pro League giants Al-Ittihad have entered the race to sign Club Brugge midfielder Raphael Onyedika, intensifying competition for the Nigeria international.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Al-Ittihad have submitted a fresh official bid to Belgian champions Club Brugge in an attempt to secure the defensive midfielder. Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt remain keen as well, and have already agreed personal terms with the player, though their opening offer to Club Brugge was turned down.
Club Brugge are holding out for a transfer fee of around €10 million for the 25 year old, who has just one year remaining on his current contract. Onyedika has declined the club’s attempts to extend his stay, with both player and club seemingly preparing for a summer departure.
Onyedika joined Club Brugge from Danish side FC Midtjylland in 2022 and has since established himself as one of the club’s key performers, helping the Belgian champions win multiple domestic honours while earning regular recognition with the Super Eagles.
