Belgian Pro League club Cercle Brugge have completed the signing of left back Tayo Adaramola from Premier League side Crystal Palace.

Adaramola has signed a contract keeping him at the club until 2030. Born in Dublin to Yoruba Nigerian parents, he has represented the Republic of Ireland at every youth level and, earlier this year, earned his first call up to Ireland’s senior squad, meaning his international career has run through Ireland rather than Nigeria.

Familiar With Belgian Football

The 22 year old is no stranger to the Belgian Pro League, having spent the second half of the 2023/24 season on loan at RWD Molenbeek. He began his football journey in the youth ranks of St Kevin’s Boys and St Mochta’s in Dublin before joining Crystal Palace’s academy at Under-12 level in 2015, after his family relocated to London to support his development.

A New Chapter In Belgium

Speaking to the club’s official website, Adaramola said he was very happy to call Cercle his new home, adding that he had a good feeling from his very first conversations with the club and was eager to get started and show what he is capable of. Cercle Brugge technical director Luciano Murchio welcomed the signing, describing Adaramola as a forward-thinking young left back who has already gained experience at different levels in England and Belgium, and said the club expects him to complement the squad well as he takes the next step in his career.
