Hamburg sporting director Claus Costa says he is confident Nigeria international Terem Moffi will make a significant impact at the Bundesliga club.
Moffi completed a permanent move to Hamburg from Ligue 1 side OGC Nice on Monday, adding further firepower to the German club’s attack. The 27 year old brings considerable experience, having played across six different countries during his career, with a club record of 88 goals and 13 assists in 228 competitive appearances. At international level, he has scored six goals and provided two assists in 23 appearances for Nigeria.
“Difficult To Contain”
Speaking to Hamburg’s official website, Costa said the club was delighted to secure Moffi’s signing, describing him as a striker who is difficult to contain because of his physicality, determination and playing style. He praised Moffi’s ability to make runs in behind defences, his presence in the penalty area, and his quality with his back to goal, adding that the club expects him to bring extra firepower and versatility to the squad. Costa said the priority now was integrating Moffi quickly so Hamburg could begin the new Bundesliga season with energy and confidence.
