Former Super Eagles midfielder Mutiu Adepoju has advised Samuel Chukwueze to stay put at AC Milan and fight for his place rather than seeking a summer move away from the Serie A giants. The 1994 Africa Cup of Nations winner believes the winger still has much to prove and should focus on improving his consistency.
Chukwueze has struggled for regular minutes since his high-profile transfer from Villarreal, often featuring as a substitute for Milan this season. Speaking in an interview with RG, Adepoju acknowledged the challenges Chukwueze faces but insisted that leaving now would be premature.
“Hard work is the only way. He must prove himself and make it difficult for the coach to bench him,” said Adepoju. “Leaving AC Milan shouldn’t be an option just yet. He still has the quality to become a key player.”
