The Chairman of Nigeria’s National Sports Commission NSC, Mallam Shehu Dikko, has reaffirmed the Commission’s dedication to the successful execution of the FIFA Forward Project 3.0 during an inspection at the proposed site within the MKO Abiola National Stadium, Abuja. Joined by NFF President Ibrahim Musa Gusau, Dikko reviewed the project, which aims to provide world-class facilities, including a modern NFF hotel and training pitches for national teams.
Dikko, who played a key role in the FIFA Goal Project’s early development in 2003, expressed excitement over this next phase, calling it crucial to Nigerian football reforms. The project seeks to lower accommodation costs and generate revenue by accommodating visiting teams. Linking the initiative to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, Dikko highlighted its importance for sustainable sports infrastructure and global recognition.
