Samuel Chukwueze in action for AC Milan

Super Eagles winger Samuel Chukwueze played the entirety of Saturday’s Serie A clash as AC Milan played out an entertaining 2-2 draw with Lazio. It was Chukwueze’s fourth appearance of the season, and he has already picked up two assists in the league so far.

Lazio Race Into A Two Goal Lead

The match started brightly, and Chukwueze himself almost opened the scoring, seeing a header saved by Christos Mandas. Lazio took the lead soon after when Cancellieri steered home Mattia Zaccagni’s cross at the back post. The visitors doubled their advantage when Nuno Tavares’ deflected cross came back off the crossbar and Noslin reacted quickest to head in the rebound.

Moreira Brace Rescues A Point

Milan hit back through Estevao Moreira, who volleyed home from a tight angle after a looping Christian Pulisic cross to halve the deficit. Just two minutes later, Moreira struck again with a fine finish from the edge of the box to level the score at 2-2, completing the comeback for the Rossoneri.

Chukwueze’s Rise Under Amorim

Chukwueze has been in excellent form since Ruben Amorim’s arrival as Milan head coach over the summer, having returned to the club following a loan spell at Fulham. His continued full match involvement points to the trust the new manager has placed in him early in the campaign.
