Falconets head coach Moses Aduku says his squad are ready for battle ahead of Monday’s Group F opener against Spain at the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup. The match takes place at the Stadion Sosnowiec, with kick-off set for 5pm local time, 4pm Nigerian time.
Aduku Wants A Winning Start
Aduku acknowledged the quality of the Spanish side but was clear that his players are determined to begin their campaign on the front foot. Speaking to the Nigeria Football Federation, he said the team is looking forward to the match with high expectations and feels fully ready.
He noted that Spain carry pedigree, pointing out that the country holds the men’s senior World Cup title, but insisted his side would approach the game with cup final intensity given how much three points would mean for their group stage chances.
Tough Group Awaits
Nigeria will be hoping to open with a win to put themselves in a strong position in Group F, which also features China PR and tournament debutants New Caledonia, who face off in the other group match on the same day.
