Trabzonspor president Ertugrul Dogan has once again reiterated the club’s desire to keep Super Eagles striker Paul Onuachu.

Onuachu has been widely linked with a lucrative transfer to Saudi Arabia, with further speculation suggesting he could be sold following the arrival of Guinea-Bissau international Franculino Dju from Danish club FC Midtjylland.

“There Is No Question Of Him Leaving”

Speaking to marasbugun.com.tr, Dogan said there is no question of Onuachu leaving, pointing out that he was the league’s top scorer and that such a scenario is out of the question for the club.

A Slow Start To The New Season

Onuachu finished as joint-top scorer in the Turkish Super Lig last season with 22 goals, level with Istanbul Basaksehir’s Shomurodov. He is yet to register a goal in five appearances across all competitions this season, a dip in form that has fuelled some of the transfer speculation, though the club’s leadership remains publicly committed to keeping him.
