Nigeria’s Super Falcons have been crowned the 2025 CAF Women’s National Team of the Year, affirming their dominance in African women’s football. The award was presented on 19 November 2025 at the CAF Awards ceremony held in Rabat, Morocco.
This accolade comes after a remarkable season for the Falcons, in which they secured a record-extending 10th WAFCON (Women’s Africa Cup of Nations) title. Under coach Justin Madugu, Nigeria swept through their group defeating Tunisia, Botswana, and Algeria without conceding a goal and went on to beat Zambia 5–0 in the quarter‑finals, then defeated South Africa 2–1 in a tight semi-final.
In the WAFCON final against hosts Morocco, the Falcons staged a stunning comeback after trailing 2–0 early on, they scored three second-half goals to win 3–2 and lift the trophy. This is the third consecutive year they have won the CAF Women’s National Team of the Year award, underscoring their sustained excellence.
