Augsburg Set to Return Onyeka to Brentford After Loan Spell

Frank Onyeka will return to Brentford this summer following the conclusion of his loan spell at Augsburg, with no permanent transfer currently being negotiated. Despite his consistency, Sky Sports Germany’s transfer expert Florian Plettenberg reports there are no ongoing discussions between Augsburg and Brentford for a permanent deal. As it stands, Onyeka is expected back at the West London club at the end of the current season.

The former FC Midtjylland midfielder signed a four-year contract extension with Brentford in August 2023, which includes an option for an additional year. Since arriving at the club, he has featured in 78 games, scoring once and providing four assists.
