The Confederation of African Football has appointed Ugandan official Shamirah Nabadda as centre referee for Saturday’s decisive second leg between Benin Republic and Nigeria’s Flamingos, a fixture that will determine which side advances to the 2026 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup.
Malian official Fanta Idrissa Kone will serve as first assistant referee, with Fides Bangurambona of Burundi appointed second assistant. Fellow Ugandan Josephine Nantongo has been named reserve referee for the match, while Aissata Ameyo of Togo takes on the role of match commissioner and Fatou Gaye of Senegal serves as referee assessor.
Nigeria head into the second leg holding a narrow 3-2 advantage from the first meeting, played last weekend at the Remo Stars Sports Complex in Ikenne. The Flamingos, under head coach Akeem Busari, arrived in Lome on Friday and have completed their preparations for the tie.
Whichever side wins on aggregate will secure a place at the 2026 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup, set to be staged in Morocco later this year.
