Nigeria’s Super Falcons will face Ghana’s Black Queens in a friendly match as part of their build-up to the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, with the fixture set for the Stade el Arbi Zaouli in Casablanca on Saturday.

Justine Madugu’s side opened camp in Casablanca on Monday as final preparations got underway ahead of the tournament. Ten players are currently at the team’s Hotel Marriott base, including captain Rasheedat Ajibade, goalkeepers Chiamaka Nnadozie and Fatima Oloko, defenders Oluwatosin Demehin, Glory Ogbonna, Christy Ucheibe, Shukurat Oladipo, and Rofiat Imuran, midfielder Jennifer Echegini, and forward Asisat Oshoala. The squad’s first training session was scheduled for the same evening at the Stade el Arbi Zaouli.

Nigeria, the defending champions, will begin their title defence against Malawi at the Al Madina Stadium in Rabat on Tuesday, July 28. Madugu’s side will then face Zambia at the same venue on Saturday, August 1, before closing out the group stage against Egypt at the Olympic Stadium in Rabat on Wednesday, August 5.

The stakes at this year’s tournament extend beyond the continental trophy. All four semi finalists at WAFCON 2026 will earn automatic places at next year’s FIFA Women’s World Cup in Brazil, while the fifth placed team, determined via a playoff, advances to an intercontinental playoff tournament early next year.
