Super Falcons goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie has expressed confidence that Nigeria will claim a convincing victory over Egypt in their final Group C match at the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
The defending champions revived their quarter- final hopes with a hard earned 1-0 win over Zambia’s Copper Queens after suffering a shock 3-2 defeat to tournament debutants Malawi in their opening fixture. Justine Madugu’s side will now take on the Cleopatras on Wednesday, knowing a positive result will secure their place in the knockout stage.
Falcons Eyeing Goals Against Egypt
Nnadozie believes the Super Falcons are ready to deliver an improved attacking display and has backed the team to find the net repeatedly against the North Africans. “We have to score goals against Egypt, it won’t be easy as the group is still very wide open and we don’t know what Zambia and Malawi will play,” she said after the win over Zambia.
China based striker Folashade Ijamilusi also stressed the importance of Nigeria securing a convincing result. “We need all three points and goals against Egypt,” she added.
