Olumide Ajibolade Set to Become Remo Stars Head Coach
The Beyond Limits Academy coach, who joined Remo Stars as an Under-17 coach back in 2019, is the leading candidate to rebuild a club that narrowly avoided relegation last season.

Beyond Limits Academy coach Olumide Ajibolade is being lined up for the vacant head coach role at former NPFL champions Remo Stars, with the club searching for fresh leadership after a difficult 2025/26 season.
Remo Stars finished 17th in the NPFL table last term, narrowly avoiding relegation just two seasons after winning the league title under Daniel Ogunmodede. Ogunmodede had spent much of the campaign away with the Super Eagles, where he served as an assistant coach, while also attending coaching courses. The club later appointed Usman Abdallah to help turn results around, but results didn’t sufficiently improve. After the season, Ogunmodede departed to become the new head coach of Kano Pillars, and Abdallah also left the club.
Ajibolade is now considered the leading candidate to take over. He first joined the Remo Stars project as the club’s Under-17 coach in 2019, before taking charge of Beyond Limits Academy in 2021, where he has since built an impressive résumé, winning the Creative Championship, the Ogun State FA Cup, the Viareggio Cup, and the 2026 Gothia Cup. He also guided Beyond Limits to NPFL promotion in 2024.
At the national team level, Ajibolade has worked as an assistant coach with Nigeria’s youth setups, having been appointed assistant to Manu Garba in 2024. He currently serves as first assistant to Golden Eaglets head coach Eboboritse Uwejamomere.
If confirmed, Ajibolade will be tasked with rebuilding Remo Stars and returning the club to contention for the top positions in the NPFL.
