Osimhen’s message
Victor Osimhen says Galatasaray must play with excitement and seriousness when they host Barcelona in the Champions League on Tuesday. The Turkish Super Lig champions meet the Spanish giants at RAMS Park as they try to recover from their opening day defeat to Sporting Lisbon. FootballInNigeria.com.ng reports that the Nigerian striker acknowledged the challenge.
Osimhen said Barcelona have quality players and keep the ball for long periods. He told Turkish outlet Ahaber that Galatasaray must apply pressure in the front area and show some resistance.

Ready for anything
He added that the team is ready for the challenge, whatever the result may be. “Playing against Barcelona at Rams Park will be magnificent,” he said.
The Nigerian returned from injury on Friday, setting up Mario Lemina’s goal in Galatasaray’s 3-1 win over Kasimpasa. He now has six goals and three assists in five Super Lig games this season, according to Complete Sports.

What Barcelona bring
Barcelona started their league phase with a 5-1 win over Feyenoord, while Galatasaray lost 3-1 away to Sporting in their opener. The contrast makes this a big test for the Turkish side.
Barcelona are known for dominating possession, which is why Osimhen stressed pressing and discipline. Galatasaray will need to be clinical when they do win the ball.

Osimhen’s Nigeria connection
A sharp Osimhen is good news for the Super Eagles too. Eric Chelle’s side need him for Tanzania in Uyo on November 13 and in Dar es Salaam on November 17.
Can he turn a good night against Barcelona into a strong run of form? Tuesday at RAMS Park is a big chance.
