Wolves Turn Down Fiorentina Bid for Arokodare
Wolves are holding firm on their valuation of the Nigerian striker, rejecting Fiorentina’s approach while Trabzonspor’s interest reportedly isn’t reciprocated by the player himself.

Wolverhampton Wanderers have rebuffed an approach from Serie A club Fiorentina for Nigerian striker Tolu Arokodare, according to transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano.
Romano also reported that Turkish Super Lig side Trabzonspor have tabled a separate proposal for the forward, but that Arokodare himself is not keen on a move there. Posting on X, Romano confirmed, “Fiorentina had a proposal turned down by Wolves for striker Tolu Arokodare.”
Wolves are believed to value Arokodare at more than €20 million and are unwilling to let him leave unless that asking price is met. The Fiorentina approach is the latest test of that resolve, with interest in the striker having grown steadily since Wolves’ relegation from the Premier League at the end of last season.
Arokodare joined Wolves from Belgian club Genk last summer on a four year deal, with the club holding an option for a further year, in a transfer worth £23.4 million. He arrived at Molineux off the back of a standout campaign in Belgium, where he had established himself as one of the country’s most prolific forwards.
His first season in England proved far tougher. Arokodare scored three goals and provided one assist in 33 Premier League appearances, with most of his outings coming from the bench as Wolves were relegated to the Championship.
