Super Falcons striker Asisat Oshoala was on target as Al Hilal Women beat NEOM 4-0 in the Saudi Women’s Premier League on Thursday, November 5. Fellow Nigeria international Christy Ucheibe also played a part in the win, which came in Round 7 at the Jeddah Club Stadium.
Al Hilal took the lead in the 11th minute when Morocco’s Ibtissam Jraïdi opened the scoring. That goal was the only one of the first half, but the visitors kept control and the match opened up after the break.
Oshoala doubled the advantage in the 65th minute, according to the club’s official match report. Manar Al-Anzi scored the third just four minutes later, and Jraïdi completed her brace in the 88th minute to seal the 4-0 result.
Ucheibe contributed to the performance, which makes it a good night for the Nigerian pair in Saudi Arabia.
Where Al Hilal Stand
The win lifts Al Hilal to third in the table on 13 points from seven games, with four wins, one draw and two defeats and a goal difference of plus 18. NEOM are sixth with five points after a fourth defeat of the season.
Al Hilal’s form has been mixed lately. They lost 2-1 to Al Nassr on October 22 and drew 2-2 with Al Qadsiah on October 30, so this result was exactly what Coach LuÃs Andrade’s side needed. Earlier in the season they thrashed Al Ahli 9-0 on September 18.

A Strong Nigerian Presence
Al Hilal’s foreign contingent includes Brazil’s Aline Reis and Kathellen, Ghana’s Alice Kusi and Morocco’s Jraïdi, alongside Oshoala and Ucheibe. The mix of quality in attack and midfield has helped them stay among the leading sides in the league.
Oshoala is a six-time African Women’s Player of the Year, and she joined Al Hilal from NWSL side Bay FC in August 2025. She scored on her Saudi debut, a penalty in a 4-3 win over Al Qadsiah on September 12, 2025.
She also stayed busy with the national team this year. FotMob’s records show she scored against Zambia and Egypt at the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, before the Super Falcons went out in the quarter-finals and then lost the play off to South Africa. Al Hilal’s next match is on Friday, November 13, at 5:30pm local time at the Al-Taraji Club Stadium in Al-Qatif, according to the club. It is a different competition from the league, the Saudi Football Federation Women’s Championship.
Oshoala will hope to keep scoring, as she did last season, and the coach will want to keep both Nigerians in good form. The Super Falcons also need leaders who are in rhythm as they rebuild after a tough year.
For now, the focus is on enjoying a convincing result. Supporters can check the Bet9ja promotion for Super Falcons fans as the season moves on.
