Gift Orban is on course to make his move to Turkish Super Lig newcomers Amedspor permanent after an impressive start to life at the club. The Nigeria international joined Besnik Hasi’s side on loan from Bundesliga club Hoffenheim in July and has hit the ground running, scoring seven goals and providing two assists in six league appearances.
A Clause Built Around Ten Goals
According to Amedspor president Nahit Eren, Orban needs just three more goals to activate a mandatory purchase clause written into his loan agreement. Eren revealed that the loan itself was struck for a modest 500,000 euros rather than a million, and that reaching 10 goals for the season would trigger the obligation to sign him permanently.
Level At The Top Of The Scoring Charts
With seven goals already to his name, the 24 year old striker is currently the joint-top scorer in the Turkish Super Lig, level with Trabzonspor’s Mohamed Salah. Orban will now be looking to maintain his scoring form and reach the 10 goal mark that would seal his permanent switch to Amedspor.
