NPFL: Enyimba down Rangers in Aba, 3SC snap slump with win

Enyimba beat long-time rivals Rangers International 2-1 in Sunday’s oriental derby in Aba. Shooting Stars ended a four game winless stretch by edging out El‑Kanemi Warriors 1-0 at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Ibadan.

In Aba, Enyimba took the lead just before the interval through Chidera Michael, who struck three minutes before half-time. The hosts doubled their advantage in the 81st minute thanks to winger Stanley Dimgba.  Rangers found a lifeline deep in stoppage time when Kenechukwu Agu pulled one back but it was too little, too late.

Meanwhile in Ibadan, Shooting Stars’ hopes of revival were realised when Ismail Ayodele netted the only goal of their clash with El-Kanemi in the 29th minute.
