Imama Amapakabo, the former Nigeria U23 coach, has rejoined Abia Warriors to lead the team in the new NPFL season. He has signed a two year contract with the Umuahia based club. Amapakabo previously managed the Abia Warriors during the 2020/21 season.
His coaching career in the NPFL includes stints with Enyimba and El Kanemi Warriors. Recently, he was in Rwanda coaching Etoile FC. Last season, Abia Warriors narrowly avoided relegation and made it to the President Federation Cup final for the first time in their history.
