Ibom Angels Football Club have appointed Emmanuel Ntuk as the club’s new Chief Coach, the Uyo-based side announced in a statement on Monday.
The club described Ntuk as an experienced coach with a strong professional background, having worked with several clubs and academies in Akwa Ibom and beyond. His coaching career includes a spell as Technical Adviser of the defunct Akwa Starlets Football Club, as well as Head Coach roles at Dakkada Football Club and Ibom Youth Football Club.
A Well-Travelled Local Coach
Ntuk has also served as Head Coach and Chief Executive Officer of Greater Tomorrow Academy, and has previously taken charge of Police Machine Football Club and Emlo FC in Uyo. Ibom Angels said his experience and technical knowledge made him a strong addition to the club’s coaching team, adding that his leadership was expected to help drive the club’s continued growth. Joining An Established Technical Crew
Ntuk now begins his new role as Ibom Angels prepare for the next stage of their football development. He will work alongside former Super Falcons head coach Edwin Okon, who continues to lead the club’s technical crew.

- Ibom Angels, nicknamed the Orange Girls, were founded in their current form in 2004 and are owned by the Akwa Ibom State Government.
- Before settling on their current name, the club had previously been known as Ibom Babes and then Ibom Unity Queens.
- The Orange Girls play their home matches at the Uyo Township Stadium, the same ground used by men’s side Akwa United.
- Ibom Angels reached the final of the Nigeria Women’s Cup, known as the Aiteo Cup, in both 2017 and 2018.
- Ntuk will work under head coach Edwin Okon, a former interim Super Falcons boss who also led Nigeria’s U-20 women’s team to a fourth-place finish at the 2012 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup.
- Before joining Ibom Angels in January 2024, Okon guided Rivers Angels to multiple NWFL league titles and FA Cup successes.
- Ibom Angels are the reigning Akwa Ibom State FA Cup women’s champions, having beaten Solo Wonders 2-0 in April 2026 to retain their crown.
