Nigerian-born winger Emmanuel Chigozie Owen has wasted no time laying out his goals after completing a move to FC Utrecht from Bayer Leverkusen, saying he wants to develop quickly and get regular football, whatever level that starts at.

Speaking after his move, Owen described settling into life at his new club as feeling instantly welcoming, and said he sees himself as physically strong and creative on the ball, with a knack for setting up chances as much as scoring them.
On his immediate ambitions, he said his priority is to develop himself, adding that whether that happens with Jong FC Utrecht or the senior side matters less to him right now than simply getting consistent minutes.
