The Nigeria Football Federation NFF has invited 26 players to the final phase of camping for the Future Eagles, ahead of two friendly matches against Morocco. This initiative, part of the NFF and FIFA’s Technical Development Scheme TDS for youth players born in 2009 and 2010, is scheduled to start on December 2, 2024, at the NFF Technical Center in Abuja.
The week-long camp will culminate with the team travelling to Rabat, Morocco, where they will face their Moroccan counterparts in a two legged friendly on December 10 and December 15, 2024. These matches aim to prepare the next generation of elite players for future international exploits.
The TDS began earlier this year with an initial pool of 120 players, which was subsequently narrowed to 40 and finally reduced to 26 players attending this final phase. Among the invitees is Raheem Moyinoluwa Salaudeen from Buruj Football Academy, who made headlines in 2013 as the youngest player to compete in Nigeria’s Nationwide League One at the age of 13.
