Super Eagles striker Cyriel Dessers was on target again as Panathinaikos secured a 2-1 away win over Levadiakos in Monday night’s Greek Super League clash.
Panathinaikos made a flying start to the contest, taking the lead inside three minutes when Giannis Kosti turned the ball into his own net. Levadiakos’ task grew harder around the hour mark when Panagiotis Simelidis was shown a straight red card, reducing the hosts to ten men.
An Instant Impact Off The Bench
Dessers was introduced in the 68th minute, replacing Andrews Tetteh, and needed only a few minutes to make his mark, doubling Panathinaikos’ lead shortly after coming on.
A Blistering Start To The Season
The goal takes Dessers to four goals in four appearances across all competitions for Panathinaikos this season, continuing an impressive start to his time at the club following his summer move from Rangers.
