Nigerian forward Adeshina Ibrahim Ayodele continued his impressive start to European football by scoring in Lille’s 2-1 victory over Real Madrid in the UEFA Youth League. This marks Ayodeleโs second goal in as many European matches, following his earlier strike in a 2-2 draw with Sporting Lisbon.
Ayodele scored Lille’s second goal just before halftime, following an assist from Younes Lachaab. Real Madrid responded in the second half, but Lille held on for the win. The Nigerian youngster, who joined Lille from Nigeriaโs Beyond Limits academy in the summer, has quickly established himself as a rising star in the Youth League.
Lille now has four points from their first two games in the competition, and Ayodele will be looking to continue his fine form when they face Atlรฉtico Madrid on October 23.
