Simon was introduced with 11 minutes remaining as Liam Rosenior’s side picked up their second draw of the campaign, to go with two wins and no defeats so far.
Paris FC Dominate Without A Breakthrough
The hosts controlled the majority of the match, holding 56 percent of possession and creating the better chances, finishing with six shots to Lyon’s five, four of them on target compared to just one for the visitors. The best opportunity of the game fell early in the second half when Luca Koleosho raced past Zachary Athekame into the box, only to see his effort skim narrowly wide.
Penalty Appeals Waved Away
Paris FC also had shouts for a penalty after contact between captains Pierre Lees-Melou and Corentin Tolisso, but referee Jerome Brisard played on without consulting VAR. Lyon remained a threat on the counter throughout and appealed for a late handball against Lees-Melou, though VAR confirmed there was no infringement.

The result leaves Paris FC third in the table on eight points, level with fourth placed Lyon, as both sides continue to build positive early season momentum.
