Trabzonspor interim coach Huseyin Cimsir has moved to calm fears over Paul Onuachu’s fitness after the striker was substituted in the 44th minute of Sunday’s 5-0 thrashing of Genclerbirligi, replaced by new signing Franculino Dju.
A Big Night Cut Short
Onuachu had already made his mark before going off, opening the scoring in the fifth minute and doubling Trabzonspor’s lead in the 22nd. The brace took his tally to two goals in four league appearances for the Black Sea Storm this season.
Cimsir Not Concerned
Speaking to NTV Spor, Cimsir said, “I don’t think it’s anything serious. There’s no problem,” expressing confidence that the Nigeria international will be available for the club’s next fixture.
Trabzonspor return to Super Lig action away to Konyaspor in their next league outing.
