Head coach Okan Buruk said afterward that Osimhen had felt discomfort in his groin, adding that the club would need to wait and see how things develop. He noted that the area is a common site for muscle problems but tends to heal faster than a hamstring injury, which is why the club plans to run further checks and MRI scans before drawing conclusions.

The timing is awkward for Galatasaray, who face Sporting Lisbon in the UEFA Champions League next Tuesday. Osimhen has been in outstanding form this season, with six goals and two assists in just four league appearances, and the club will be hoping the issue proves to be nothing serious ahead of that fixture.
