Coventry City manager Frank Lampard has confirmed that Super Eagles midfielder Frank Onyeka is fit and available for Saturday’s Premier League trip to Manchester City.

Onyeka missed Coventry’s defeat to Hull City but has since recovered in time for the clash at the Etihad Stadium. He had earlier played the full 90 minutes as Coventry began their Premier League campaign with a 3-0 defeat to reigning champions Arsenal.

“He Is Available For Today”

Speaking to Coventry Live, Lampard confirmed simply that Onyeka is available for the match.

Bracing For A Tough Test

Lampard acknowledged that facing Manchester City represents a significant step up in class for his newly promoted side, and that Coventry will likely find themselves underdogs in many fixtures this season as they adjust to life back in the Premier League after 25 years away. He said the squad has studied City’s threats closely and identified areas where Coventry believe they can cause problems when at their best, while stressing the need to quickly adapt to losing more often than they did during last season’s promotion winning campaign.
